Saddle Up With Children’s Hospital Trail Ride!

Children’s Hospital Trail Ride (CHTR) has been wrangling up fun for patients and families at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio for the last 33 years. Each year, local families and volunteers gather for four boot scootin’ good time events: team roping, BBQ cook-off, trail ride, and a benefit dance.

Join us this Saturday, March 12, for the BBQ cook-off at Cestohowa Hall! Participants will give their best shot at winning a cash prize by cooking up some brisket chili, chicken, and pork spare ribs and beans! CHTR will also present The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Foundation with a check for $100,000 raised through their 2021 events! These funds will help support vital programs, equipment, research, and so much more.

On Sunday, March 13, the team roping competition will take place at the Rose Palace. The event is open to the public and will feature ropers of all skill levels competing for a cash prize, customized buckles, and more! All proceeds stay local to benefit our patients at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

The trail ride and benefit dance are scheduled for April 9 at Cestohowa Hall in Falls City, Texas.

Thank you to all of the dedicated volunteers at CHTR who make each event just as special as the last. We can’t wait to get out there and have some fun! If you would like to get involved, while making a difference for local hospitalized children, please contact Rolando Gonzalez at Rolando.Gonzalez@christushealth.org for event details.
