Without the generosity of our community and volunteer leadership, we would be unable to provide much-needed funding for our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospitals in New Braunfels and San Antonio. This past year, Madelon Yanta Leone, Board Chair, and R. Rene Escobedo, Vice Chair, have helped lead the Friends of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Foundation to continue our mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
“Since joining the board in 2010, it has been an honor to serve and continue the important work the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word began more than 150 years ago,” said Madelon Yanta Leone.
Under their leadership, the board has continued to reach 100% giving participation in recent years, leading by example as they both personally supported the recently completed Oncology Unit at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Medical Center in 2020.
“I have seen first-hand the impact philanthropy has on the patients and care givers throughout CHRISTUS Santa Rosa. It was important to me and my family to support the shared vision for our community to be a leader in life-saving cancer care,” said Rene Escobedo. We are grateful for our donors and leaders, such as Madelon and Rene, for their partnership and investment in our healing ministry.
