Cowboy Up With Children’s Hospital Trail Ride

For the last 32 years, Children’s Hospital Trail Ride (CHTR) has been sharing smiles and showing their support by wrangling up some fun for our patients at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

Unfortunately, due to COVID, last year’s Trail Ride events were cancelled. This year, they’re back and more excited than ever!

Each year, local families and volunteers gather for country-western fun at CHTR’s team roping event, BBQ cook-off, trail ride, and benefit dance.

Proceeds raised through the annual events benefit our kids at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. In 2019, CHTR volunteers presented the Hospital with a slew of books and toys, and a check for $100,000, which will help fund programs, equipment, research, and so much more.

This year’s events kick off this weekend (with social distancing and safety precautions in place!), February 26-28, with the Team Roping competition at the Rose Palace. The event is open to the public and will feature over 200 registered ropers of all skill levels competing for a cash prize, customized buckles, and more!

2021 Event Dates

Team Roping – February 26-28 (Rose Palace)
BBQ Cook Off – March 12-13 (Cestohowa Hall)
Trail Ride – March 20 (Cestohowa Hall)

Thank you to our friends at CHTR for all of their hard work and incredible generosity! Your support helps kids in our community heal and get back on the saddle.
