We believe that caring for the community in which we live and work is at the core of our mission. Because it is important to “give where we live,” CHRISTUS Santa Rosa is proud to join together with United Way agencies of Bexar and Comal County to help our friends and neighbors in need.
Each year, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Associates give back via the United Way. The United Way is dedicated to improving lives today and impacting our community for future generations by investing in well-managed programs that change lives and strengthen families
As a non-profit health system, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa is a benefiting United Way agency and earmarked to receive funding from United Way of Bexar County and United Way of Comal County to support:
- Every Baby Matters Mission at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels
- Children’s Mobile Clinic at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio
Serving nearly 400 patients annually, the Every Baby Matters Mission aims to give parents the tools they need to allow babies to thrive in strong, healthy families. The program gives new mothers the opportunity for in-home visits by a registered nurse following delivery. The nurse conducts medical assessments on both mother and baby in the comfort of their home, addresses any concerns or questions the mother may have, and provides educational information on maternal and child health issues and child development.
The Children’s Mobile Clinic provides comprehensive pediatric primary care and guidance/education services to uninsured/underinsured children within vulnerable populations throughout San Antonio. Our goal is to link every child in the target area to medical home, reduce emergency room visits, increase immunization rates and increase knowledge of health topics and healthy behavior for families.
Thank you to our amazing Associates for another successful United Way campaign! Because of you, our community is stronger, healthier, and ready to take on tomorrow.
