September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the perfect time to honor the countless children who are currently or who have previously fought cancer. Every day, there are almost 700 new cases of childhood cancer around the world, and they need your help to get better. As a non-profit children’s hospital, The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio relies on the support of our community to continue providing the highest quality of care for our young cancer patients and their families. Your impact lasts lifetimes!
With the help of some incredible donors, like Jana and Tom “T-Bone” Bounds, The Children’s Hospital continues to provide comfort, support, and care for the entire family.

Jana and T-Bone support patients year-round with monetary donations through the Hope Hits Harder Cancer Foundation. One of the most meaningful items they provide for our patients and families are H.O.P.E. Bags. The large bag is given to every newly admitted child with cancer at The Children’s Hospital and contains essential items that a family might need when they find themselves in crisis mode. The H.O.P.E. bags contain gift cards, toiletries, a thermometer, a blanket, a stuffed animal, toys, books, snacks, and more. We are humbled and forever grateful for such wonderful supporters.
We are amazed time and time again by the strength and courage we see in our patients every day. We admire our physicians and cancer teams at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio who help our patients fight every day. We are grateful for our donors and supporters who believe in our mission and contribute to helping create a better future for our children and families.
Your support means everything to us, and even more to our kids. Thank you for your unwavering support. Consider making a gift today in honor of our past, present, and future little fighters. To donate, please visit ChildrensHospitalSAFoundation.org/donate.
