Local Walmart, Walmart Neighborhood Market, and Sam’s Club stores are joining forces to “Change Kids’ Health, Change the Future” by raising funds for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio during the annual #HelpKidsLiveBetter campaign benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
This year’s register campaign runs June 22 through July 19. Customers and members can conveniently donate $1 or more, or round-up their total to the next dollar during check-out at any San Antonio, Victoria, or Laredo Walmart, Neighborhood Market, or Sam’s Club stores.
Shoppers will soon be able to use the round-up feature while checking out on Walmart.com or the Walmart app at checkout! All funds raised in the San Antonio area will stay in our community to benefit local kids like Cashlynn.

When seven-year-old Cashlynn fell off her horse and was kicked in the head, she suffered from a fractured orbital and temporal bone, a traumatic brain injury, and a severe laceration to her right ear.
She was airlifted from Devine, Texas, to San Antonio, where she received life-saving surgery. Cashlynn had severe cognitive and communication impairments and spent several weeks undergoing physical, occupational, and speech therapy at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. In just a few weeks, she made a miraculous recovery.
She still sees occupational and physical therapists and will have check-ups at The Children’s Hospital every six months. She will never regain hearing in her right ear, and her left cheek is slightly paralyzed, but the “little firecracker” continues to get stronger. Her recovery is thanks in part to your generous support.

Walmart and Sam’s Club joined the CMN Hospitals fundraising family in 1987 with Sam Walton himself being personally involved in the beginning of the relationship between the organizations. The #HelpKidsLiveBetter campaign supports Walmart’s goal of giving back to local communities.
Walmart, Walmart Neighborhood Market, and Sam’s Club associates, customers, and members have raised $7,609,000 for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio since 1987. To date, total fundraising from Walmart and Sam’s Club for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is more than $1 billion; the largest cash amount ever raised by one company for a non-profit in North America. The 2019 campaign raised $319,085 for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and helps support medical care, research, equipment, education, and so much more.
“Giving is not just about making a donation; it’s about making a difference. That is our goal,” said Jessica Villanueva, Regional General Manager, Region 8, Central Division, Walmart.
Thank you for supporting our mission! Customers and members can help spread the word about the campaign via social media using the hashtag #HelpKidsLiveBetter.
