Spreading The Word About Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we are so thankful for everyone who has helped us spread the word. From hosting the mobile mammography unit (MMU), to hosting an event at your place of business to benefit the Friends Foundation, we are so grateful to all of you for making a difference! Because of you, we will continue to provide healing and comfort to women who come to us for care, regardless of their ability to pay.

This Sunday, October 13, come out to The Alley on Bitters for the Women’s Health and Fashion Expo! From 1 p.m.- 5 p.m, activities include free makeovers for breast cancer survivors/patients, swag bags and shopping! Your Sassy Chef from KSAT12 will be cooking up healthy bites and recipes and many more vendors are participating. The CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Mobile Mammography Unit will also be on site to provide screening mammograms (insured and uninsured patients are welcome). Come join the fun for a good cause! 10% of sales from participating vendors will benefit the Mobile Mammography Unit. The Alley on Bitters is located at 555 West Bitters Rd., San Antonio, TX 78232.

Throughout the entire month of October,        Bar du Mon Ami, located in the heart of Alamo Heights, is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by serving up a pink charity drink benefiting the Mobile Mammography Unit’s free mammogram program! Stop by and make sure to order a Pink Lady!
