Make a BOO-tiful Difference for Kids at Spirit Halloween

A spooky season is upon us! Through October 31, local Spirit Halloween shoppers have the opportunity to support The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio‘s Child Life department by rounding up their change at check out, or by making any monetary donation. 100 percent of donations will be gifted to The Children’s Hospital.

With the help of the Child Life specialists, who are professionally trained in child development and special education, children can better understand their treatment plan and why they are in the hospital. The Child Life Department at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio creates an environment designed to ease children’s fears and provide the important emotional and social care to make the hospital experience as pleasant as possible for both the child and the family.

Spirit Halloween also gifts the children with costumes so that they do not miss out on the Halloween fun during their stay.

Since 2007, Spirit of Children has raised $45 million to provide Child Life funding for art, music, therapy programs, as well as the purchase of educational items and toys used for distraction during medical procedures (and so much more!) at children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada.
