At 32 weeks pregnant, Ashley was experiencing extremely high blood pressure. Her OB-GYN admitted her to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) where she and her unborn baby were further examined. After a few days of being monitored in the Hospital, Ashley’s nurse noticed that the baby’s heart rate was dropping, so they quickly moved her to delivery.
“As soon as they believed something was wrong with my baby, I knew the nurses and physicians were working to save our lives,” Ashley said.
Ashley underwent an emergency c-section, and baby Ace was born that day at 3 lbs. 11 oz. He spent the next month receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at CSRH-WH.

“That was the longest month of my life. It was so hard not being able to bring Ace home with me, but I knew he was receiving the best care possible,” Ashley said. “Ace is now home and doing well. I am so thankful to the physicians and nurses at Westover Hills who acted quickly to save my baby’s life.”

It’s because of supporters, like you, that Ashley and Ace were able to receive the life-saving care they needed. We rely on your support. Will you help us save more lives?
