The Children’s Hospital Trail Ride (CHTR) has been a dedicated supporter of The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio for nearly three decades. This month, they wrapped up their 29th year of serving the Hospital.
Every year, volunteers host family-fun events including team roping, a 17-mile trail ride via horseback or hay ride, BBQ Cook-Off, a dance, and more, all to make a difference for the children and families who come to The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio for care.
“We work very hard every year, and its all for the kids,” said Buck Griffin, CHTR president. “Children are fighting illnesses day in and day out. We have no idea what they go through, but knowing we can make a difference with the funds we raise is what really keeps us going. We all have a great passion for what we do.”
Thousands of individuals come from all over the state to participate in the Trail Ride event. In 2016, they raised $105,000 to help support pediatric programs and services at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio!
This year’s events were a big success, and we are so grateful for the dedicated support of our friends at The Children’s Hospital Trail Ride.
