A few months ago, we told you about ten–year-old Colton Schroeder who participated in Lemonade Day earlier this year. Lemonade Day is a program that teaches kids how to turn their dreams into a business plan. Its goal is to empower today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs. The program teaches kids how to set up their own business, a lemonade stand, and motivates them to become active members of society.

Colton’s lemonade stand, Squeeze Me, included his signature strawberry lemonade, a photo area, games, and popcorn! His profits benefited two local groups of children. Colton bought 30 Kohl’s Cares stuffed animals because he knew that 100% of proceeds benefit children’s health initiatives nationwide. Kohl’s Cares items sold in the greater San Antonio area benefit The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. Colton delivered the stuffed animals to his local police station, asking officers to distribute them to the children they encounter while on duty.
Colton continues to be recognized for his hard work and kind acts of service. Recently, he was named, Boerne’s Entrepreneur of the Year and is now being entered in a national competition. Good luck, Colton, and thank you for making a difference for our children!
