The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio’s team of pediatric specialists believes good health begins long before an infant’s first glimpse of daylight. The Hospital’s Center for Maternal and Fetal Care provides expert labor and delivery services in a home-like setting. From experienced physicians to the highest level of newborn intensive care, families can be comforted in knowing that the Hospital is prepared for high-risk newborns and complicated deliveries. The nursing staff is dedicated to providing family-focused care, including offering tips on how to feed, bathe, and change the baby’s diaper.  Dr. Peter Nielson serves as vice chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and is doing a fantastic job at leading his team of experts.
