On June 22nd, donors, physicians, Associates, and guests, gathered to welcome Baylor College of Medicine’s second class of pediatric residents at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and recognized its inaugural class, who will continue in the program and help guide the new class as senior residents. The Children’s Hospital’s residents are from all over the country and were carefully selected from thousands of applicants. Each resident is a great fit for The Children’s Hospital and proves to be dedicated to learning, growing, and providing the best possible care for our children.
Sister Walter Maher began the event with encouraging words and a special prayer for the residents. Attendees also heard from Elias Neujahr, president of The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, Dr. Mark Gilger, pediatrician-in-chief, Dr. Michelle Barajas, pediatric residency program manager, and John Bel, president of The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Foundation, about the importance and value of the residents’ work and presence at The Children’s Hospital.
Thank you and congratulations to the new 2016 residents! We are so thrilled to have you on board at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio!
