On May 25th, The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio celebrated a major milestone in the development of its new two-story Goldsbury Foundation Lobby, Santa Rosa Chapel, CHEF Teaching Kitchen, Café, and Child Life Activity Center. Donors, physicians, patients, Hospital staff, sisters, and members of the community all joined together to celebrate this outstanding transformation of The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. It was a historical day in the San Antonio community and in pediatric health care.
Throughout the celebration, guests heard from Hospital leadership, city representatives, and members of clergy about the importance of providing “Everything for Our Children” in San Antonio and beyond. The Transformation Celebration included the Hospital’s award-winning music video featuring Rachel Platten’s Fight Song. Students from four local elementary school choirs and ballerinas from the Dance Elan inspired the crowd as they performed while the video played.

“This beautiful new lobby and our bright new spaces serve as a beacon of hope for families with sick and injured children. We want families who enter here to know they are in a place of healing and hope, where we will do everything for our children,” said Elias Neujahr, President, The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.
“Through our academic partnership with Baylor College of Medicine, we have recruited a team of 150 top-notch pediatric subspecialists from around the world. We have created a level of care for children that has never before existed in San Antonio,” Neujahr said. “In addition, another 100 private-practice pediatricians in our community are helping us grow to better meet the needs of our children.”
