This week, The Friends of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Foundation joined CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Medical Center (CSRH – MC) in celebrating 30 years of service to our patients. The milestone was celebrated with a blessing and unveiling of a Heritage Wall. The display showcases more than 145 years of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System’s rich history in San Antonio, which began with a humble journey of three nuns on a mission to serve San Antonio. That mission continues today at the CSRH – MC campus in the South Texas Medical Center.

“It’s very humbling to see the Heritage Wall. The legacy of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word is palpable, and it extends to every family member and every patient who comes through our doors,” said Chris Bowe, president, CSRH – MC.

“It is very exciting to witness the growth of CHRISTUS,” said Sister Corine Walsh, C.C.V.I, a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word – San Antonio. Sr. Walsh served at the CSRH – MC campus for seven years, and was honored to find her photo among many installed within the Heritage Wall. “I know that many of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word who came before us, as well as Bishop Claude Dubuis, and other foundresses, are looking down on us from heaven with deep gratitude.”
