April Fricke, IWHS Athletic Director, was welcomed by students as she completed the final stretch of her 3-day bike ride from Freeport to San Antonio.

Today we celebrated the homecoming of April Fricke, Incarnate Word High School (IWHS) Athletic Director, who completed a 3-day historic bike ride across Texas for a good cause. For the second consecutive year, April road her bike along the same route the first three Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word traveled from Freeport  to San Antonio in 1869, approximately 250 miles. April accepted pledges per mile, as well as donations, to reach her $8,000 fundraising goal, which will be donated to the Friends of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Foundation in support of the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Mobile Mammography Unit.
